Asphalt Emulsions

Asphalt emulsions are composed of three basic ingredients: asphalt, water and emulsifier, yet they are carefully formulated to yield the highest quality material. The use of asphalt emulsions allow for energy conservation and reduced atmospheric pollution, thanks to their reduced application temperatures. With a variety of emulsions on the market, using the right material on the right road at the right time is vital to prolonging the life of the pavement and, at the same time, addressing the budget of the customer. CRS-2P

Commonly used in Polymerized Chip Seal, a surface treatment designed to protect and prolong the life of a pavement, and SAMI, crack inhibiting stress absorbing membrane interlayer. Rapid setting emulsion is used in conjunction with single size aggregate. Chip seals can improve skid resistance and protect the underlying pavement from wear and oxidation.

SS-1H

Commonly used in Fog Seals, Tack Coats, and Dust Palliatives. Fog Seals are a light application of diluted emulsion to cover small cracks and surface voids, reduce raveling and seal the pavement. Cost effective way to cover a large area and provide a fresh look to the surface. Tack Coats are applied to help eliminate slippage as well as provide a bond between the existing pavement and any new overlay. Dust Palliative products reduce the emission of dust into the air but also give a bit of protection to the road surface.

Micro and Slurry Seal Emulsions

High performance resurfacing process giving a durable, friction resistant surface. Special rut filling boxes and stringent design criteria allow for one pass rut filling. Products included are: CSS-1H, CSS-1HL, CQS-1HP, CSS-1HPM, CSS-1HM.

Polyfil

Polyfil is a combination of high quality polymerized asphalt emulsion with select crushed and angular aggregates to cost effectively seal and repair a variety of asphalt and concrete pavement distresses.
